James Jakes Confident in 55th Macau Gp despite shunt


James Jakes is confident that he can still fight for victory in this weekend's Macau Grand Prix, despite a heavy crash cutting short his first qualifying session today.

He was fifth quickest in morning practice and was lying third 15 minutes into qualifying this afternoon when he lost control of his ART car exiting Curva R and spun into the barrier.

F3 Euroseries race 1 report


James Jakes' difficult weekend at Hockenheim continued on Saturday as contact with several of his rivals left him struggling with a damaged car in the first race.

The British driver had been optimistic of a points finish after qualifying inside the top 10, but his hopes were dented at the very start as Koudai Tsukakoshi made contact with him.

Season Finale : Hockenheim Qualifying report


James Jakes had a difficult start to his final F3 Euro Series weekend of the season at Hockenheim on Friday, as the British driver was disappointed despite qualifying in the top 10.

James had high hopes for the session, but a broken damper caused him problems during the session, and he had to battle on to eventually get his car up to ninth on the grid.
