In 2007, the planet’s most competitive young gun series is going to hold its events in six European countries. Germany, Great Britain, France, Italy, the Netherlands and Spain are going to host the 20 rounds held at ten weekends. Eight of the ten Formula 3 Euro Series events will represent a part of the DTM support programme, with the other two being held within the scope of Formula 1 and the FIA GT Championship respectively.
For the Formula 3 Euro Series young guns, the appearance in the support programme of the French Grand Prix, at Magny-Cours, France, quite clearly represents the season highlight. On 30th June and 1st July, the young drivers can prove their skills in front of the eyes of the Formula 1 Team principals, thus having the chance of attracting their interest with a great performance. The second event in France will be the series’ debut appearance at the circuit of Nogaro. At the venue located between Toulouse and Bordeaux, the up-and-coming Formula 3 drivers will race within the scope of the FIA GT Championship event
And there will be another Formula 3 Euro Series debut, this year: at Mugello. For the first time since the series’ creation back in 2003, its young drivers are going to race at the circuit located in Italy’s picturesque Tuscany region. In a perfect holiday event, the young drivers will contest their races on 14th and 15th July in the DTM support programme. In the season opener and finale, both held at the Hockenheimring (GER) as well as in the rounds at Brands Hatch (GB), the Norisring (GER), Zandvoort (NL), the Nürburgring (GER) and Barcelona (ESP), the Formula 3 Euro Series also relies on the professional stage represented by DTM, offering its drivers the chance of racing in front of packed grandstands.
